The Power of Prayer

Prayer I have not posted anything on this blog for a long time. I've been very busy and didn't have anything that inspired me to write about. However, I felt compelled to share one thing that I find really helps me get through anything in my life, it's called Prayer.

Now, I am not the most religious person in the world. In fact, I'm not even religious at all.But I do believe in God, very much so. I was raised Baptist, in a very religious family. I have not been into church for a very long time, we're talking years. Oddly enough, I feel closer to God now than I have ever been before. I find myself talking to God through out my day, and I have to say, that there's a comfort in prayer. My point is, no matter what religion you are, you don't necessarily need to be in church to talk to God.

Just the other day, I was going through something that really stressed me out at work, I just closed my office and I prayed. I have to say, it was like a weight lifted off of me. Suddenly, a calming feeling came over me and I knew everything was gonna be alright. It's not the first time that something like that happened to me. With all the craziness that goes on with the world around us, with all the negative people who tries to tear us down, just take a minute and talk to God.
