SUPERMAN update: PANIC IN THE SKY

It was really sad to hear that Superman Returns only made a little over 80 million dollars on it's 5th day. It was expected to break box office records, but failed. X-men and SpiderMan even made more money on it's 5th day.

I started to question the promotions, I did not see a lot of commercials of it, my boss did not even know that there is a new one coming out. Did Kate Bosworth completely sucked as Lois Lane? Did Warner Brothers made the wrong decision hiring Bryan Singer to direct this epic? Could this be The Death of Superman?

Yes, the movie has it's flaws, but so does a lot of other movies out there that still manages to make tons of money. I hope people don't forget the love that Christopher Reeve had for this character and how much he believed what Superman stands for. He's the ultimate good guy. He doesn't need a Bat mobile, and he doesn't have emotional acne like Spider Man.

When it's all said and done, Superman still stands as my favorite superhero of all time. No other superhero brings me back good memories of my childhood. Watching Superman for the first time in my parents bedroom, and almost believing that people can fly. The love he has for Lois, he turned back the hands of time. This movie may not have made as much as money as it has been expected, but I know that, til after the day we die, people from the next generation will know what the symbol S stands for!
